limyaael. This will be for Most Pitiless, a story that will definitely be in-progress. (If it's not, prod me). This novel, like The Song of a Secret Bird, is set in the Eleven Worlds, a crystal pentagon filled with unformed dream and with a silver ball of magic set in the middle for a sun. When someone's mind is strong enough, he or she can create a world. Only eleven have been made so far, which says something about the rarity of that strength.
Ne'maren is the world of Most Pitiless, and it's a nightmare. The twisted relations of its two species, the iorruenae and the rassierion, are part of the world's nature and enslave both. A native of the paradisical realm of Lirria is visiting it in this novel, and she'll have full opportunity to observe all seven kinds of cruelty that happen on Ne'maren, repeating over and over in an endless, vicious cycle. It might be possible for her to stop them, but the Dreams are powerful and unpredictable; what takes this nightmare's place could well be worse.
This is friends-only (for reasons that some of you will guess and some know). The Eleven Worlds conception is heavily influenced by Swinburne's poetry, and some of that will be mentioned and used. It's also going to be home to regular updates, about 1200 words apiece when they happen. If you don't mind that and want to read it, comment on the public entry and I'll add you as a friend.
